Not much for today. I'm kind of babysitting since Erin's pretty out of it. Thankfully, Rei is sleeping on her tie-down next to me. I can't hear what the boys are doing...which might not be a good thing knowing them...but it probably means they're on playstation. umm...anything else I should add? oh yes, this girl is hillarious, and the home video is touching. to visit it go to
happyslip.com. thanx every body who wished me a happy birthday.

christmas/b-day

™ Cuteberries.com - Cartoon Dolls, Cute Disney Graphics, Saniro Graphics, Myspace Pictures, Myspace Codes, Myspace Layouts, Myspace goodies, Myspace stuff and more ! ™ so today is my b-day, but I liked that little greeting so I put it up. I am now 15 years old, and still saved! I'd put up a birthday pic, but...
1. I can't find Erin's camera
2.My hair is disgusting since I was sick 95% of the day
Really, today I was too sick to my b-day breakfast, but that's okay, I'm just going to have it tomorrow. So I guess you could say my birthday is tomorrow, because it's the things you do on the day, not the day itself, that makes it special. ttfn!

is this not

ROME (Reuters) - A village in the Italian Alps is finally basking in winter sunlight thanks to a giant mirror installed on a mountain top to reflect the sun's rays into the main square.Viganella, with a population of less than 200, lies in a valley so steep that each year from November 11 to February 2 it hardly receives any sunshine.
That was until Mayor Pierfranco Midali decided to do something about it.
Now a 5-metre (16-foot) high, 8-metre (26-foot) wide mirror tracks the sun's movement and reflects its rays into Viganella's historic piazza.
The mirror, which cost around 100,000 euros (67,000 pounds), was unveiled on Sunday to the delight of the inhabitants.
"Here it's very cold in the winter and residents, many of whom are elderly, used to stay inside all the time. Now people are enjoying sitting on the bench in the square and having a chat," said Maria Velona, who works at the townhall.
Midali has been contacted by local authorities with similar problems in Canada, the United States and France.

Giggle for the day...
Why Why, Why
do we press harder on a remote control when we know the batteries are getting dead?
Why do banks charge a fee on "insufficient funds" when they know there is not enough money?

Why does someone believe you when you say there are four billion stars, but check when you say the paint is wet?

Why do they use sterilized needles for death by lethal injection? Why doesn't Tarzan have a beard?

Why does Superman stop bullets with his chest, but ducks when you throw a revolver at him?

Why do Kamikaze pilots wear helmets?

Whose idea was it to put an "S" in the word "lisp"?

If people evolved from apes, why are there still apes?

Why is it that no matter what color bubble bath you use the bubbles are always white? Is there ever a day that mattresses are not on sale?

Why do people constantly return to the refrigerator with hopes that something new to eat will have materialized?

Why do people keep running over a string a dozen times with their vacuum cleaner, then reach down, pick it up, examine it, then put it down to give the vacuum one more chance?

Why is it that no plastic bag will open from t he end on your first try?

How do those dead bugs get into those enclosed light fixtures?

When we are in the supermarket and someone rams our ankle with a shopping cart then apologizes for doing so, why do we say, "It's all right?" Well, it isn't all right, so why don't we say, "That hurt, you stupid idiot?"

Why is it that whenever you attempt to catch something that's falling off the table you always manage to knock something else over?

How come you never hear father-in-law jokes?

And my FAVORITE......The statistics on sanity are that one out of every four persons is suffering from some sort of mental illness. Think of your three best friends -- if they're okay, then it's you.

You Are a Yellow Flower

A yellow flower tends to represent joy, friendship, and playfulness.

At times, you are childlike, as a buttercup is.

And at other times, you are fickle, like a dahlia.

And more than you wish, you tend to feel bittersweet, like a marigold.

Oh, wow so true, so true. lol.

our rei of sunshine

Dress Up Games, Glitter Graphics, Cartoon Dolls, Myspace Graphics from dolliecrave.com

Rei is the newest addition to our family, a lovable ball of fuzz, or technically classified as a seven week old black lab straight from the nursery. rei is going to be training to be a guide dog puppy.she was named after a chinese girl. Yesterday we drove down to Gorgia to pick her up. She is soo small! our last guide dog came at about 12 weeks, and was much bigger. most of the way down she burrowed behind my back or scrunched in the corner in between the car seat and the door. Even bubbles seems to like. we credit this to the fact that she's 1.gone through jake allready and 2. the pup is as small or smaller than her, making her automatically less threatening. well, she's her now, and Autumn is officially her favorite playmate(other than bubbles).

Justine and I are working on a gingerbread 'house' or more like a '60s diner. today we'll take them to be judged and displayed at the grovepark inn. every year during november, the grove park inn hosts a national gingerbread contest. justine's siblings araon haynes, along Evan, hunter bounds, lee did a house, and sulema, nina, and grace, and autumn did another.

this is the barn that aaron and his team did. cool huh?

this the younger girl' s house, green gables. maybe i'll post some picz of us working later. kudos to sister ellen for letting use her kitchen, for her patience, expertice, and for all the work she did getting us the candy. Mwah!

Yay! I love the recorder! we actually had recorder lessons from sis. Robin when we were younger. Since then I've played around with it some, but I'd forgotten a lot of the notes. It only has 6 holes right? well, not to long ago my mom bought a Disney recorder book. so now I've been driving some of my family crazy while I learned 'under the sea' and 'beauty and the beast'. I might even accompanying Erin or Kristen in our upcoming piano recital.

Field trip

YaY! I finally got a picture on here. this is a pic of some of the weapons from the war reinactment we went to. The weapons were my favorite part. it was really amazing some of the things they used in the revolutionary war. I guess this is a kind of morbid intrest considering the disgutingly awful damage these weapons did....but I like 'em anyway.
the picture above is lee throwing a tommyhawk a log targets. the man explained that generally wouldn't throw it....then what you have to fight with? but he let us practice. the key is to throw it kind of like you're throwing a baseball...and not to try to flip it. it'll rotate all by itself. I was kinda pathetic but I think some of the little ones got it on thier first try.

This is a picture of a butterfly that landed on me at the butterfly exhibit which was at the nature center. we went to it for our first day of school surprise. my mom always does something special for the first day of school. she decorated the breakfast room in a jungle theme, and we got treats and notebooks in a bag.
usually it's a complete surprise for all of us kids, but this year Erin baked the cake, Evan helped with breakfast....I forget what kristin did...but I pretty sure she did something. anyway, maybe I'll put some pics up for that. I've actually got pictures up from the butterfly exhibit and our 1st day of school at my website. (I've finally updated) if you want to see it, you can click here.

here's a joke. one day a perfect man marries a perfect woman. of course, they l ive d a perfect life.....almost. then one snowy night as they were driving home from a party, they spotted a figure on the side of the road. of course being the perfect couple, they stopped. it was santa! not wanting to dissapoint the children, they loaded santa and his gifts into the car. but as they were on thier way home, they had an awful crash. only one survived....who was it?

Women read here.....since their is no such thing as a perfect man, and no such thing as santa, that leaves the perfect woman.

men read here.....and, since neither santa or the perfect man was in the car, that means the woman must have been driving...which explains the crash:D

I got that from Erin who got that from carrie. there's a video that goes with it, but I don't know where to find it.

well.....I've decided to stay....not one for making up my mind am I? anyways, all my amigos are here! well, we got back safe and sound from raleigh. Unfourtunately, Erin didn't place for her presentation about guide dogs. there was another girl there who was giving a presentation guide dogs too, and she had been doing it for 11 years. I have to say, hers was excellent. but it's still pretty good for Erin to have gotten all the way to state on her first try :). afterward we visited the museum of science, which really neat. I took some fun pictures, which I can't get to because it's on sis.Owens camera and I don't have the usb cord, unfortunately. but the exhibits were pretty amazing. they actually had a whale's bone skeleton hanging from the ceiling! We took Jake with into the musuem and got stopped by a security guard. he was like "Now what's up with this dog?" and Erin of course said, "he's a guide dog in training..." but the man wasn't buying it. "Are you blind?" noooo. but anyway, we had to go back to the front desk were the gaurd was informered that yes, guide dogs and puppies in training are allowed in the building.

weee're back!

whew, I just got back from fellowship meeting. we were actually supposed to be around 12-something last night, but we got stuck in tons of traffic!! we moved on like, 15 miles (more or less) in three hours. what happened was a truck ran into this suv and killed I think it was an entire family. traffic was going so slowly one woman got out and walked her dogs, and these two boys got and played football on the side of the highway. anyway, the youth jubilee was a lot fun. the messages were very encouraging. I think if i never eat at taco bell or mcdonalds again in my life it will be too soon ;).well, i probably will have to, we're leaving for roliegh, (raleigh?) tonight. ugh, I am so tired. later

Shout out!

anyone like manga and fruits basket other than me?
I personally like yuki better than kyo because he seems more in control of his feelings. I think thoru is a sap because she acts soooo nice and polite all the time! but I think its good they put her in there with the kyo and yuki because those to are allways at each other's throat. anyway, I went to manga art class at the black mountain library monday, and got inspired! actually, the class went over the basics, positioning of the eyes...ect,ect. I made a couple of friends, Jb, ashton, and some others. the librarion promised to get more manga books which I think is great because...is this another run on sentence? anyway, I start college this fall!!

Viva la liberdad

So this is in response to all of the posts being put up about illigals in our country.
Remember these are still people...Not everyone who looks Hispanic are Mexican! Try calling any Hispanic on the street a Mexican and see what happens to yah... Also realize that you happen to live in a nice country, in a nice home, and everyone doesn't have that privilege. Did you know slavery still exists? Not something close to slavery...But slavery itself. So remember, just 'cause you have money and a house, and food when you want it...Everyone doesn't. This is not to say that its good to let people slip through the borders. I'm well aware that allowing that would be welcoming drug smugglers and others like them with open arms...But bashing Hispanic people simply because a crowd of them came to see fireworks on the fourth July was kinda harsh. You automatically stereo typed them because of how they looked. Please remember this in the future. God bless America.

my good days outweigh my bad.

I've been checking out other people's blogs and sites. goodness, I need to start blogging more. I'm so behind!! last night this guy came to our church and testified about how this other church he visited brought people in from the homeless shelter, and some other down-and-out places. then the preacher got making the racist jokes and said God was a racist. so the man was upset, and he gave a loooong testimony until bro. Charlse finally said it was time to move on with the service. it was mostly a testimony service. one thing that really stuck out in my mind...two things really, but the first is what bro.willie watkins said, which was. "My good days outweigh my bad," which I thought was amazing giving his situation. it inspired me to stop griping about all the little stuff that I think are so bad, and to be grateful instead that I'm in reasonable strength and help.

who's afraid of the big bad wolf?

Today we went to a library program, probably one in a long line of programs we'll visit over the course of this summer. This one was about wolves. or more accurately, wolf-dogs. the lady who was the speaker brought an actual wolf-dog with her. dissapointingly, this one was low-bred, so He didn't have a lot of wolf in him. his face looked like a husky or malimute, but the rest of his body had that brown-patchy wolfish look. after the lady told them that the fur was spun by volunteers and used to make purses and stuff, the kids kept reaching up to the poor animal and pulling its hair out. fortunately (for the kids ;) that didn't seem to hurt the dog. unfortunately, the dog got tired of the constent attention and took off, (not running, walking) through the room. one of the in audience explained that the dog was tired of being petted, and was probably moving out of the way of the pestering little hands. until we meet again,
Robyn

Got home from church not to long ago, and right now I'm listening do adventures in article. Eugene is trying to find out who his father is....right now he's at the homeless shelter. yesterday I made the mistake of telling my mother, about ebay wrapper cash. actually, my mom's not a prob, it's my sister who happened to be listening in (ahem kristen...) and so now she knows about it too, which means i can't confiscate her wrapper. you're problly wondering why I want those wrappers. The thing is Hersey's has a promo, where you can use the codes on the inside of the wrappers to redeem for ebay cash or stuff in the hersey 'store.' anyway, I got Evan's wrapper so now i have 4 pts.

We say goodbye like this...

we clap our hands for bible school....this song has been sung to end bible school for as long as I can remember. it's like our church's vbs anthom or something. anyway, the play this year short. it was about finding clues to heaven. All of us girls in the young people's class were part of the parable the 'ten virgins.' we wore the white choir robes that had been used for sis. Robin's wedding, and wore reaths of (fake) roses in our hair. I think it was quite effective. In the play, I was one of the five who missed 'heaven'. talk about into the part! we were supposed to be begging God for one more chance, and was kinda hard not to get into the part. I mean, if you can really imagine it, walking to the place where God was supposed to be, and finding out that you were doomed to hell....what would you do? probably what we did in the play. fall down on our knees and beg, cry out to God for a second chance. also, today Jake, Erin's guide dog puppy, came home today. the poor little guy is stretched out beside the couch now, asleep. he's tuckered out. Anyway, all's well that ends well. go with God my bretheren. (and sisteren.)
